"LandmArch. Champions Urban Sustainability and Envisions STEM Inclusion for Landscape Architecture"

LandmArch. is honored to have been among the lecturers at the "#IFLA World Congress 2023", presenting our scientific paper on "Social Sustainability towards Sustainable Urban Development." The presentation focused, among other topics, on the steps towards #inclusive and #sustainable #urbanopenspaces, which was also a focal point of the #Conference.

At the same time, we are proud to be the first landscape architecture firm in Greece to speak openly about the vital role of #landscapearchitecture in #urbanplanning, #socialjustice, #biodiversityenhancement, #climatechangemitigation, and #circulareconomy. The interview was conducted by the Greek department of #WomeninSTEM, "#GreekWomeninSTEM."

Combining these two important #milestones, we are proud to state that we #envisioned a future where landscape architecture's role would be recognized as part of the STEM fields—an umbrella term used to group the distinct but related disciplines of #science, #technology, #engineering, and #mathematics.

Now, more than ever, we feel #empowered knowing that, through the #advocacy work of #ASLA, the landscape architecture profession was recognized as a STEM field in the USA in 2023.
